Thiru.M.Bhaktavatsalam Prizes:

Out of a sum of Rs.250/- donated every year by the bhaktavatsalam Shashtiapthapoorthi Committee,prizes are awardedto the best student in each class considering his overall proficiency,attendance,conduct and performance in extra-curricular activities.

Thiru.O.V.Alagesan Prizes:

A set of prizes are being awarded to students securing high aggregate marks in various diploma examination held by the board examination. Also special prizes are awarded to students outstanding general proficiency and extra curricular activities.

BHAKTAVATSALAM POLYTECHNIC SILVER JUBILEE.

Founder's day Commemoration Prizes:

The Founder,Thiru.O.V.ALAGESAN has deposited a sum of Rs 800/- in KCCB Ltd to give prizes from the accrued interest for final year best students in each discipline taking the 5th and 6th semester marks.

Thiru S.VENKATESAN,Sr.Lect/Mech(late) had deposited a sum of Rs 2000/-. From the accrued interest first and second prizes are given to top rankers in First year Technical Drawing.

Our old student, naval cadet SIVAKUMAR has deposited Rs.1000/-. The accrued interest is being utilised for giving prizes to the best Naval cadets.

NCC scholarships of the year 2002-2003 of Army Wing have deposited Rs.2000/- From the accrued interest prizes are awarded to the best firing cadets of the Army Wing NCC Cadets.

Miss D.VASUKITHAI, Sr.Lecturer/English has instituted an endowment of Rs.5000/- in memory of her father K.R.DURAIRAJ to prize the toppers in English.

RAJARAM AWARD:

It is praiseworthy that seven of our old students, A.Kuppuswamy,B.Ramanathan,Jayaraman,D.Mathivanan And H.Venkataraman have donated a sum of Rs.1000/-,the interest of which is being utilised to give prize to the best student in Mechanical Engg. This gesture is in memory of their respectful Lecturer Thiru L.R.RAJARAM who expired in accident in Feb.1983.

AWARD OF FIRST CLASS WITH HONOURS AND FIRST CLASS ETC.

FIRST CLASS WITH HONOURS:

A candidate will be declared to have passed in FIRST CLASS WITH HONOURS if he/she secures not less than 75% of the aggregate marks in all semesters put together except first year and passed all the above semesters in the first appearance itself and completes all papers including that of first year within the stipulated period of study years without any break.

FIRST CLASS:

A candidate will be declared to have passed in FIRST CLASS if he/she secures not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in all papers within the stipulated period of study years without any break.

SECOND CLASS:

All other successful candidates will be declared to have passed in SECOND CLASS.
